Rebecca is a descendant of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe from the Twin Cities, MN, with over 10 years experience in the Media Industry. She has worked for innovative companies like Viacom, Village Voice Media and Rock the Vote. Her work aims to inspire conversations, using storytelling and community-generated media as catalysts for social change. Rebecca’s multimedia direction and production has been featured on PBS’ Independent Lens, MTV’s Rebel Music documentary series, CurrentTV, Free Speech TV, and Pacifica Radio. Nancy is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate from Sisseton, SD, working for over 20 years to improve educational, economic, social and health opportunities in the American Indian community, in both the Lake Traverse Reservation in Sisseton and in the Twin Cities. She has been a teacher, advocate, lobbyist, grant maker, and communications and development director for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, St. Paul American Indian Center, Heart of the Earth Survival School, University of Minnesota, the Women’s Foundation, Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center, and the MN Indians Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition.
